November 7, 2004.  Connor had a great day at the North Texas Karters Fall 6 race.  He finished second, third and third in the three heats.  Highlights included a thrilling first heat where he moved from a sixth place start all the way up to second, making numerous awesome passes along the way.  The third heat had Connor starting second however he made a slight mistake on lap 2, sliding off the track at the turn 3 exit.  Connor did a great job to prevent a spin, but fell back to fifth place.  Connor proceeded to make a fantastic charge back through the pack moving up to third by race end.  Overall for the day Connor finished second in combined points from the three heats.

October 31, 2004.  The website is now up to date with all 2004 race results.

June 26, 2004.  KART Nationals Denton, TX - Connor debuted his new graphics and the new number 75 for the National championship.  Connor had a very good weekend finishing in the top five in both classes entered.  On Friday night Connor ran the Junior 1 2 cycle light class (225 lbs.)  He qualified 2nd only a 0.1 second off the pole.  Connor then ran steady in the two heat races finishing 2nd in both and challenging for the lead but not being able to get by.  In the final Connor dropped back to 3rd on the start but passed back to take second about midway through the race and drove to a second place finish.  On Saturday night Connor raced the Junior 1 2 cycle heavy class (250 lbs), and qualified 6th.  Unable to advance in the heat races he started 8th in the final but drove a good solid race and finished 4th.  Connor passed for 3rd on the white flag lap but was passed back before the lap was over.  There were 17 entrants on Friday and 15 entrants on Saturday in Connor's classes.

May 2, 2004.  Connor had a very busy weekend, he raced the SKUSA Red River Regional, Rounds 5 and 6 and an  NTK club race.  This totaled two qualifying rounds and seven separate heat and final races over the weekend.  Overall Connor's results were very good.  He battled rain, wind and cold on Saturday in Round 5 of the SKUSA Red River Regional to finish 4th in the final.  On Saturday night in the NTK Spring 5 club race Connor finished 3rd in a tight battle from 1st through 3rd.  Sunday brought sunny skies and Round 6 of the SKUSA Regional.  Connor qualified 4th, advanced to 3rd in the pre-final and finished 3rd in the 18 lap final.

April 25, 2004.  Connor raced round two of the KART regional series at OMC in Norman, Oklahoma this past weekend.  The racing started off well with Connor qualifying 2nd out of 15 entrants.  The first heat brought trouble for Connor when he spun out in turn 12 on the 1st lap dropping all the way to last place before traffic cleared enough to get back on the track.  He managed to pick off a few places moving up to 11th by the end of the race.  The second heat was a struggle, running at the back of a large pack of karts making passing extremely difficult and ending up 12th.  The final was 10 laps giving a bit more time to pick up some places - Connor drove very well passing a number of drivers to finish 8th.   Although the finish was disappointing after such a good qualifying run Connor still made a great comeback to finish in the middle of the pack in a hard fought race.  This weekend Connor is on the track again for rounds five and six of the SKUSA Red River Regional in addition to an NTK club race on Saturday night - all at NTK in Denton.

April 18, 2004.  Connor had good luck and bad luck at rounds three and four of the SKUSA Red River Regional at Oklahoma Motorsports Complex.  After a good practice day on Friday Connor opened round three on Saturday by qualifying third with a good competitive time.  In the pre-final Connor was involved in an incident mid way through the race in turn one.  Another kart ran over the right side pod and fairing of Connor's kart bending the fairing too bad to continue.  The DNF put Connor in the back for the start of the final.  Connor battled up to fifth by about midway in the 18 lap race but could not advance further.  Sunday brought round four and Connor qualified second.  In the pre-final Connor had a great battle at the front and was involved in four lead changes throughout the race but ended up second at the end.  For the final Connor grabbed the lead from the outside pole position and led the first five laps.  He was eventually passed for the lead and stayed on the leader's tail for much of the race but couldn't pass back.  Connor finished second for a nice ending to the weekend.  Next week Connor is back to OMC for the KART regional race.  Complete Results

March 21, 2004.  Connor had a good weekend at the opening round of the 2004 KART regional series at North Texas Kartway in Denton.  He started out by qualifying 3rd out of 16 drivers.  In the first heat he finished 2nd - this gave him the outside pole for the start of the 2nd heat.  At the start of the 2nd heat he got beat into turn 1 by the 3rd place kart and held on to 3rd for the duration of that heat giving him a 3rd place starting position for the final.  During the 2nd heat Connor ran his best ever lap time at NTK of 42.06, only 0.17 off the track record.  In the final Connor had a great battle, passing for 2nd twice during the race to take 2nd on the podium.  2004 KART Regional Round One

February 29, 2004.  Connor participated in his first SKUSA regional race in Hitchcock, TX near Houston.  This is run as two separate race events, one on Saturday and one on Sunday.  On Saturday Connor finished 2nd in the final and had a very good day.  On Sunday we had trouble with our transponder and Connor received no time in qualifying causing him to start last.   He moved his way up to 5th during the final.  When he came in we found that he had a broken seat strut and had lost the front two floor pan bolts causing the floor pan to drag through out the race.  Considering all this it is amazing he was able to finish as well as he did.

February 22, 2004.  Connor finished 2nd in Polar Bear Race IV at NTK.  This combined with previous finishes of 2nd, 3rd, and 1st gives him 2nd place overall in the series!   This is a significant improvement over Connor's 5th place finish in the 2003 Polar Bear series and a great start to 2004!  Next up is the SKUSA Regional February 27-29 in Hitchcock, Texas.
