NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver David Starr  has autographed Connor's go-kart.  Connor has met David several times and always cheers him on during the truck races.

There is more racing in Connor's family.  Connor's cousin, Bret Widdis is a very successful stock car racer in Michigan.
